INFORMATION REQUIRED TO PROCESS A REQUEST FOR A BIRTH CERTIFICATE

All declaration of birth at the embassy must be done within two months from the day of birth of the child beyond; the certification will go through a judicial process. The declaration has to be made either by:

1-The father
2-The mother
3- A sibling
4- A relative
5- Any eye witness The following documents should be provided:

  • Copies of the passports of both parents
  • Copy of the birth certificate issued by the American proper official authorities or any other document issued by the hospital where the child was born.
* The applicant will have to pay a fee of $20.00 by money order to be issued a birth certificate.
